The Foundation for Winter Park Tech, Inc. is asking for your support.  A number of students who attend Winter Park Tech have been unemployed and/or are working minimum wage jobs, often with families to support.  This Foundation supports students working hard in their studies and who are trying to make a better life for their families through education.

You can make a profound difference in the life of a student struggling to pay for the cost of his or her education.  Some of our students may not be able to complete their education without your support.

HOW WE HELPED:

The foundation scholarship provided $718 scholarship dollars for a single mother of two, to complete the Massage Therapy program, receive her license to practice.  She is now working and without the funds she could not have finished.

A student encountered a difficult economic situation while in the Pharmacy Tech program. The foundation provided a scholarship to complete the last portion of his course.  He now is working in the field as a Pharmacy Technician.

Two students could not afford the money to take their GED Test.  The foundation provided a scholarship and now they both are now proud HS graduates with a GED.

9 GED since we started – of those two were paid in 2011.

We use 96% of donations on Program Services Expenses (support provided
to students).  The other 4% is for Administrative/Fundraising expenses.
